PLUS LENTICULAR DESIGNS



Most plus lenses are made in a lenticular design to decrease center thickness and enhance performance on the eye.

With a lenticular design there 
is a front optic zone diameter 
(FOZD), also called a front 
central optic diameter (FCOD); 
reduced optic; or optic cap.

The thickness at the edge of the 
front optic is the junction thickness (j.t.).
